A basket designed to hang dried flowers. It’s purpose is not only to enjoy displaying already dried flowers, but also to enjoy watching the flowers transform from a fresh, fragile state into a permanent, rigid state which takes about 3 to 4 weeks. In order to create this basket, 3mm steel rods were bent into a circular shape, and paper cords were wrapped around the base and the handle. The material selections were coherent with the design of “Karimoku Commons Tokyo”, a gallery and a showroom, which is also by Keiji Ashizawa Design.
